About our Chapter

The Northeast Atlanta Chapter of National Charity League, Inc.’s mission is to foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development, and cultural experiences.

2020 marks the 10th anniversary of the Northeast Atlanta (NEA) chapter.  NCL NEA was established in 2010 and chartered in 2012. We were the 162nd chapter in the United States and 5th in the Atlanta area. The membership for the current 2019-2020 period includes 126 Ticktockers (Daughters) and 98 Patronesses (Mothers) for a total of 224 members. We also have Sustainer members who have completed the program and choose to stay involved.

NCL NEA is made up of families who reside in or attend school in the areas surrounding the Highway 141 Corridor, including South Forsyth, Gwinnett County, North Fulton County, Johns Creek, North Norcross and Peachtree Corners.

As a 100% volunteer organization, membership in NCL NEA requires a commitment of time and service and carries a financial responsibility. All Patronesses hold a chapter job each year and actively participate as leaders in the operational success of the chapter.  All Ticktockers also hold jobs and are expected to carry out their roles to their best effort. Our chapter is supported by NCL Inc. and our District 14 leaders with many resources to help guide us along the way.

Throughout our chapter’s history, it has been our goal at NCL NEA to work diligently to adhere to the 3 pillars that the 6-year program is based on to ensure that members receive a well-rounded experience. We are intentional about how we spend our time and resources.  We consider it a privilege to be able to spend quality time with our daughters while we serve in our communities and experience growth through well-organized meetings. Our chapter serves over 20 philanthropies including environmental & animal, elderly, military & community, families & housing + food, children & youth, and health.

NCL NEA prides itself on continually listening, learning and growing together. Each year the Board of Directors sets new goals to advance our chapter after listening to the members and analyzing what works and what doesn’t, we call it adding layers to our cake. Life at NCL NEA sure is sweet.

The value of membership in the Northeast Atlanta chapter lasts a lifetime. The NCL experience uniquely draws women and girls together to focus their minds, hearts and talents towards creating positive change in their communities and the world in which they live.
